Sloan’s Lake Marina

Sloan's Lake Marina transforms a previously underutilized waterfront area into a dynamic public space that celebrates Denver's relationship with water while providing year-round programming opportunities. The 8-acre plaza serves as a gateway to Sloan's Lake Park and demonstrates how thoughtful design can enhance both ecological function and community life.

The design creates a series of interconnected spaces that flow from the urban edge to the lake's natural shoreline. Interactive water features, flexible event spaces, and contemplative gardens work together to accommodate diverse activities while respecting the site's ecological significance and scenic beauty.

Special attention was paid to accessibility, ensuring that all plaza amenities are universally accessible and that the design celebrates the diverse communities that call Denver home.
